The National Science Digital Library

The National Science Digital Library is a digital library of exemplary resource collections and services, organized in support of science education at all levels. Its mission is to both deepen and extend science literacy through access to materials and methods that reveal the nature of the physical universe and the intellectual means by which we discover and understand it.

The NSF has funded over 144 projects, all of which come together to form the NSDL. The OCKHAM Initiative is one of these projects. Our project strives to improve the adoption and use of the NSDL within the traditional library community. To that effect, we encourage you to visit the NSDL and provide access to it from your library - either by linking to it, or by putting an NSDL MARC record into your online catalog. As the OCKHAM Initiative progresses, there will be more ways to access and make use of NSDL content and services.
